One Time with UBA May Lower Your Risk of Depression

JAMA conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the association between physical activity and the risk of depression.

The meta-analysis included fifteen studies comprising 191,130 men and women ages 20-93 who self reported elevated depressive symptoms and major depression.

The results showed that adults not reporting any activity lowered their risk of depression by 25% after accumulating the recommended volume of physical activity (8.8 marginal metabolic equivalent task hours per week).

Similarly, adults not reporting any activity lowered their risk of depression by 18% after accumulating only half the recommended volume of physical activity (4.4 marginal metabolic equivalent task hours per week).

These results suggest that by participating in UBA just once, you may lower the risk of depression and receive substantial mental health benefits in the process.
